Last summer, I undertook a huge remodel of my home which included a large retaining wall, patio and pool in the back. I told my builder that I wanted to use AGS for the hardscapes. The foreman on the job couldn't say enough good things about AGS. He said that they were very polite, always cleaning up the work area and said they were the best landscape company that he had ever worked with. Even when the builder's drawings didn't show the need for small retaining walls, Jorge from AGS knew what had to be done, contacted me, explained the errors in the drawings from the builder and made recommendations to resolve the problems. I am pleased to give AGS Landscape co. and the entire team the highest possible recommendation for their hard work and professionalism. AGS team did all of the lawn and landscape maintenance on our Riverwoods house for 8 years. They did a superb job keeping the yard looking well groomed and the grass healthy.
I worked with AGS landscape on two major projects. Together, we designed and built a new lacrosse field for Deerfield High school. This was a major project as several hundred trees had to be removed in order to make space for the field. The project was completed within budget and on schedule in spite of horrendous weather conditions during the time of the work.
An even larger project was the renovation of Altgeld Park in Chicago for Chicago Hope high school. The park had deteriorated to the point where there was almost no grass and it was a haven for drug addicts.
AGS landscape stripped the entire park of its surface soil, brought in new topsoil, supervised the installation of a sprinkler system, put down thousands of square yards of athletic sod, built a retaining wall to enlarge the park next to railroad tracks, and created four beautiful baseball fields and one football/soccer field.
AGS landscape often worked late into the night under lights and even in the snow in order to finish the project on schedule and within budget. They did far more than anyone could have expected to make the project a success and to get the sod down before the winter snow started.
The invoices always represented a good value for the high quality of work that was provided. I would not hesitate to recommend AGS landscape for any landscape or lawn or stone work that might be required.
